Ly5.2 bone marrow was co-cultured with stromal cell lines for 3 weeks under Dexter conditions. The cultures were then harvested, combined with fresh Ly5.1 competitor marrow and four mice were transplanted from each culture. The presence of the two Ly5 markers was analyzed in peripheral blood at 1,3,5, and 7 months. S17 was used as an internal control in each experiment. The results are expressed as the percent of S17 support as follows: (-) <15%; (+) 15-50%; (++) 50-100%; (+++) 100-200%; (++++) >200%. Adapted from Wineman et al (8639765).
